Fred Chen, PE
Director, Electrical Engineering
Mr. Chen has over 17 years of electrical engineering experience. His project experience includes electrical engineering related design, analysis, studies, construction service, and project management for K-12 schools and other educational facilities, industrial, commercial, and government projects. Mr. Chen specializes in low and medium voltage (100 kV) electrical power distribution systems for critical facilities. In addition, Mr. Chen has extensive experience in the performance of comprehensive electrical power system studies including Short Circuit Analysis, Equipment Evaluation Analysis, Load Flow Analysis, Protective Device Coordination Analysis, Transient Motor Starting Analysis, Generator Sizing Study, Harmonic Analysis, and Arc Flash Analysis.
Mr. Chen is a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Maryland, Illinois, North Carolina, and the District of Columbia. He acquired a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Union College (NY), in which he was Summa Cum Laude. He joined the PS&S family in 2015.
