THE OPPORTUNITY

The client's goal was to create a new product studio for its customers at its R&D facility. The studio was designed to allow the client’s product designers to work directly with their customers to develop and test new products.

THE CHALLENGE

Space for the new studio was available within existing storage rooms. The new studio needed to be designed as an attractive architectural space while matching the customers branding and product development needs, including privacy and fragrance/odor control. A secondary requirement for the studio was that it needed to be designed to the client’s new “Smartspace” program to provide an open and collaborative work environment.

THE PS&S SOLUTION

The new studio was renovated from an existing storage space into a new studio which included space for the clients’s product development managers and designers. A conference/test space was designed to match the customers branding and design standards which in this case was “Bath and Body Works”. The completed project has been well received by the client’s customers and its staff. The new studio’s new “Smartspace” office and conferencing / collaboration design has become a model for other “Smartspaces” within our client's campus.
