The Denitrification Building at Port Jervis Wastewater Facilities consists of a concrete lower floor structure with a steel frame upper floor and roof structure. A face brick veneer and metal sloping roofs with a 7/12 pitch similar has been proposed to match existing adjacent buildings. Windows provide natural light into the large interior spaces with sizes and configurations comparable to those found within the surrounding context.

PS&S professionals are serving as Architect of Record for the new 2-story, 12,000 s.f. building, providing:

  • Basis of Design Report (BODR)
  • Presentations to the Public Design Commission
  • Advanced Design Development
  • Construction Documents
  • Construction Support Services

Our architects minimized the visual impact of the exterior design on the surrounding community, while also taking into consideration the industrial function of the building by maintaining comparable scale, proportions and aesthetic character.
