Dear Friends of PS&S: I am proud to announce two exciting developments in our continued expansion and growth. This month, PS&S has successfully acquired Becica Associates LLC in Cherry Hill, NJ and Stout & Caldwell Engineers, LLC in Cinnaminson, NJ.
Becica Associates, known for their architectural excellence in education and public buildings, adds a rich layer of expertise and reputation to our portfolio. Stout & Caldwell Engineers brings a strong focus on civil engineering for residential and commercial real estate, complementing and enhancing our existing services.
These strategic acquisitions are a significant milestone in our five-year plan initiated in 2020, aimed at growth both organically and through acquisition. We set out to broaden our capabilities, extend our geographic presence, and enhance our reach. I am thrilled to say that these acquisitions achieve all these objectives. We have not only roughly doubled our headcount in Southern New Jersey but have also significantly strengthened our civil survey practice and expanded our experience in designing for the education and public sectors.
This is an exhilarating time for PS&S. We are growing, we are innovating, and more importantly, we are better positioned than ever to serve our clients and communities across the region. I look forward to the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead as we continue to build on our robust foundation of excellence.
For additional details about these two exceptional companies that we are thrilled to welcome into our family, please see the information below. Sincerely, |
John A. Sartor, PE President & Chief Executive Officer |
Founded in 2000 by Ivan Becica, P.E., F.ASCE, Steven Becica, AIA, LEED AP, and John Middleton, P.E., Becica Associates LLC traces its origins back to 1964. This second-generation firm of architects and engineers has built a robust portfolio, especially noted for their work within the educational sector.
Becica Associates has collaborated with over 50 different Boards of Education throughout New Jersey, handling projects across K-12 schools, higher education institutions, Abbott Districts, and early childhood facilities. Their expertise is also showcased in significant projects like the Mitchell H. Cohen Federal Courthouse in Camden, NJ.
Becica Associates is known as the ‘go to’ firm for public buildings—whether that is K-12 schools and higher ed—or government projects at the state and even Federal level. Having this team join is significant for PS&S as we look to build our presence in both education and South Jersey where Becica is particularly well known and highly regarded.
Regarding the acquisition, Steven Becica had this to say, “We are delighted to now be evolving our firm to the next level of growth with PS&S, who we have long felt would be a perfect partner. As a result of this combination, our team will now have virtually all the architectural and engineering solutions needed for public buildings of all kinds – under one roof. It’s a plus for us, our clients and the larger community of developers in New Jersey.”
John Middleton, Principal of Becica added, “As we look out to the future of our firm and the State of New Jersey, we see important opportunities - and indeed necessary steps to be taken – in addressing the problem of aging infrastructure. The built environment stock in the public sector is getting older and, together with PS&S, our focus will be on repairing, replacing and maintaining public buildings for the future.” For the full story, click the link below. |
Stout & Caldwell Engineers, LLC |
Since its inception in 2004, Stout & Caldwell has been integral in shaping residential and commercial landscapes in New Jersey, delivering expert site and survey services for projects ranging from single family homes to multi-use developments, and over 5.5 million square feet of commercial space. Their impressive portfolio boasts partnerships with major clients like Conifer Realty LLC, Lennar Corporation, and Lockheed Martin Corporation. Most recently, the firm completed a notable 1.5 million sq. ft. warehouse in Cinnaminson, NJ.
Over the last 20 years, Bob Stout and Dan Caldwell have established themselves as the best in the business for civil survey and site plans with an impressive range of both residential and commercial projects. The addition of the Stout & Caldwell team gives PS&S new breadth and depth in civil engineering, survey and site planning in South Jersey, as well as our greater geographical footprint. We are thrilled to welcome Bob, Dan and their team to PS&S. Discussing the acquisition, Dan Caldwell, Principal of Stout & Caldwell, said, "After two decades, joining PS&S marks a well-considered move to continue delivering the absolute best to our clients, some of whom have been with us since we started."
Robert R. Stout, PE, CMS, LS, and Principal added, “Corporate culture was an important consideration for us as we looked to take our firm to the next level. We believe PS&S shares our work ethic and drive, which makes this a great fit for our team.” For the full story, click the link below. |

| PS&S Cares about Animals
Our commitment to animal welfare is at the heart of our community efforts. From April 1st to April 18th, we organized a company-wide animal shelter donation drive, demonstrating our dedication to making a real difference.
During this period, each of our offices gathered and donate the most needed supplies to local animal shelters, ensuring that we addressed the most urgent needs. From food and blankets to toys and office supplies, our teams across the regions came together to support our furry friends.
We are hopeful and enthusiastic that our contributions have made a paw-sitive impact on the lives of countless animals, providing comfort as they await their forever homes. We believe that every small act of kindness adds up to a significant change and together, we are making a difference—one paw at a time. |
